Chief Investment Officer
Arthur Sonnenfeld is the Chief Investment Officer at Copia Power, where he focuses on growing and optimizing the company’s portfolio of power generation and digital infrastructure assets. His team’s responsibilities include project and portfolio acquisitions, dispositions, and partnerships; pricing and structuring of major contracts; and underwriting key investment decisions for the company.
With more than a decade of experience in the energy transition sector, Arthur has acquired over 7 GW of utility-scale solar and 3.2 GWh of battery energy storage capacity and executed over $7 billion in long-term power purchase agreements with investment-grade offtakers.
Prior to joining Copia, Arthur was a founding member of SB Energy’s U.S. platform, where he helped scale the business into one of the country’s largest developers of utility-scale solar in under two years through an acquisition-led growth strategy. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of roles at Clearway Energy Group (formerly the renewable energy division of NRG Energy) and Schlumberger.
Arthur holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Yale University.
