Brian Callaway
Chief Financial Officer
Brian Callaway is the Chief Financial Officer of Copia Power where he is responsible for capital markets (project and corporate; strategy and formation), treasury, investor relations, reporting, as well as business operations (HR, People and Culture, Data, IT, and Business Services).
Brian has been a thought leader in the broader energy transition and power infrastructure space for over 12 years; driving innovation, building teams, and raising over 15BN of capital (debt, equity and tax equity) at the most significant companies across the broader clean power industry both at project and corporate levels.
Prior to joining Copia, Brian was the CFO at Arevon, a leading, national renewables IPP and development platform with over $12 billion in assets under management and a 4GW operating portfolio as of 2023. Before that, Brian was the VP of Growth and led the Structured Finance and M&A teams at sPower (now AES Clean Energy). Growing sPower from just under $1 billion on balance sheet to more than $5 billion and more than 3 GW of operating assets by raising $7+ billion of innovatively structured third-party capital across all parts of the capital stack. He also drove the acquisition of more than 1 GW of renewable assets for sPower, including storage, wind and solar.
Brian began his career at NRG Renew (now Clearway Energy Group), where he was a key contributor on the startup Commercial Execution team and worked broadly across M&A, project finance, and development efforts to help create one of the premier IPPs in the space.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from San Diego State University.
