Ryan Galeria
Chief Development Officer, Power
Ryan Galeria is the Chief Development Officer of Power at Copia Power, where he oversees the development of a diverse portfolio of energy campuses throughout the US. Drawing on over 20 years of experience in energy, Ryan leads Copia's Development Team, which includes professionals in the fields of Interconnection, Permitting, and Land Development, as well as a team of project Developers.
Prior to joining Copia, Ryan was the Vice President of Development for AES Clean Energy (formerly sPower), where he managed a nationwide 17+ GW pipeline of primarily greenfield solar and energy storage assets.
Previously, he managed permitting and entitlement efforts across multiple local, state and federal jurisdictions, and subsequently led development and project management teams in completing over 2 GW of projects from inception through financing, construction, and commissioning. Prior to joining AES, Ryan was a project manager and geologist for an environmental consulting firm where he specialized in oil field and gas plant abandonment, soil and groundwater remediation, and land redevelopment activities.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a licensed Professional Geologist in the state of California.
